This month Debbie and Sarah, our Oral Health Educator nurses are getting ready to visit local schools to deliver oral health education sessions to the children. We have lots of goodies ready to hand out, and will be teaching the children about teeth brushing, diet and the importance of regular visits to the dentist.
At the practice, we are also offering free oral health educator sessions each Tuesday throughout the summer for our registered patients. During these lessons, you can discuss brushing techniques, caring for children’s teeth, get support with diet, smoking and alcohol behaviours, and any other oral hygiene issues. Please note these are non-clinical sessions held by oral health educator nurses. We cannot provide any treatment at these sessions but can provide oral health advice and support. We are finalising the arrangements for a new research project we are taking part in to support our child patients with dental anxiety. This will be delivered over the coming months and is being run by the University of Sheffield.
To celebrate the launch of our new website in May, we teamed up with Enlighten Smiles to bring you our best ever package for teeth whitening, as well as a competition for free whitening and hygiene treatment.
