Veneers

What is The Treatment?

Porcelain veneers are a great solution to transform a smile, particularly if teeth are discoloured, spaced or misshapen. They are extremely thin bespoke porcelain restorations which are bonded to the front of your teeth to rebuild a smile. A huge range of results are possible including reshaping, whitening or straightening teeth. Subtle changes to whole smile makeovers are possible. In some cases, ‘non-prep veneers’ can be used, so no preparation of the tooth is required prior to treatment.

These are a good alternative to composite veneers and can give much longer lasting results.

Why Choose Us?

We work closely alongside skilled lab technicians using the latest in ceramic technology to achieve the perfect result that will meet your needs. A large degree of planning following the consultation stage is undertaken prior to any veneer case to make sure you will be proud of your smile for years to come.

The Treatment Process

01. Scan

The dentist will take a 3D scan of your teeth and discuss with you the areas you are looking to improve.

02. Treatment Planning

Your dentist will plan your case. At this stage, you will discuss the look you are going for and identify features such as the shade, shape and size of the teeth.

In some cases, your clinician will plan your case with dental technicians using digital smile planning software. If you are wanting any other treatment, such as teeth whitening, we will plan the timeline of your treatment. Whitening will need to be done before any composite is placed.

03. Trial Smile

You can try in your new smile to ensure you are happy with the results. Any changes can be made prior to having your veneers fitted.

04. Place

At this appointment, your dentist will fit your new veneers.

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend you attend for a free consultation if you are considering veneers, so the dentist can discuss your treatment options with you and assess whether you are a good candidate for treatment. Some patients may require additional treatment, such as Invisalign before they can have veneers to ensure the teeth are in the correct position.

Good oral hygiene and regular care will ensure the best longevity of your veneers. The average lifespan is 15 years, with occasional maintenance required.

You will need to wear a retainer at night to help prevent any breaks from happening due to clenching your teeth whilst asleep.

We recommend regular appointments with our hygiene therapist to ensure your teeth and gums are kept healthy. To prevent your veneers from chipping, you will need to avoid putting high levels of force on the teeth, for example, do not bite your nails, bite into very tough or crunchy foods using the bonded teeth, open packaging with your teeth or bite cellotape.
