TREATMENT UNDER SEDATION
What is THE TREATMENT?
We offer dental sedation to increase your comfort whilst having dental treatment. It is ideal for those who feel especially uncomfortable at the thought of dental treatments. Dental sedation is completely safe, and our experienced dental team have completed the necessary training to allow them to use sedation techniques. Although sedated you will always remain awake, so you’ll be able to communicate with us at any time you wish.
If you feel you would benefit from sedation, we would be happy to discuss this in your initial consultation. You can make an appointment using the enquiry form below.
Don’t put off necessary treatment, talk to us today and together we can formulate a plan to help you overcome obstacles to restoring your dental health.

Why Choose Us?
We take your care very seriously and our team of supportive clinicians and staff will do everything they can to make your experience as comfortable as possible. We continually review our facilities and update our treatments to offer you the high-quality care that you deserve.
We understand that a visit to the dentist can trigger nerves and anxiety for some people, which can lead to putting off dental appointments, worsening of dental problems that go untreated and resulting in emergency treatment being required. This can exacerbate fears and cause a vicious cycle.
The Treatment Process
01. Consultation
We will discuss your areas of concern and desired treatment outcomes, as well as taking a digital scan of your teeth and x-rays. You can ask any questions you have, and your clinician will begin to form a plan for your treatment.
02. Treatment Planning
Your clinician will develop a tailored treatment plan and quotation for your treatment.
03. Pre-Assessment
You will need to attend for an appointment with our sedation nurse or clinician to complete some pre-appointment checks. You can ask any questions at this appointment, and we will give you some information to take away with you.
04. Treatment
We can book your appointment for a day and time that is convenient for you. You will require a chaperone at this appointment to help you get home safely.

Client Reviews
Posted on Google Clive Jones Staff are friendly and welcoming. The dental treatment is first class, whether you are having a check up or an implant. My wife and I have been delighted with the care and attention we have received. Updated Jan/2026 - The quality of care and treatment continues to be first class. Today’s treatment is very hi tech and everything from scans to implants are carried out on site. Today’s treatment is incredibly different and so much better than it was even a few years ago and I have 23 years experience of implant treatment! Treatment plans are carefully discussed without any pressure to commit, the follow up and after care is second to none. I feel very lucky to be in the hands of Faisal and his team. Thank you all. Treatment by Dr Patrick Ferguson. Janet SeniorPosted on Google Peter Butters Had three implants done over a period of twelve months. Dr Faisal was extremely helpful explaining the process and procedures. This involved a number of appointments which Bridie organised around my busy schedule. The Dental Nurse Team and Hygienist during this twelve month period were also helpful, compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend them and be assured they will take care of youPosted on Google olly watson I went to Dr Patrick regarding getting composite bonding but I wanted a natural look. Patrick listened to everything I said and wanted, and gave ideas of what he thought would work and look best. I also had my teeth whitened. He came up with mock ups and even a 3D mould to show what we could do with my teeth. I am so pleased with the outcome and professional. My teeth look so natural, and Dr Patrick was a perfectionist taking his time to ensure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend.Posted on Google Sufiyan Iqbal Just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Faisal and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My smile looks better than I imagined and the confidence boost has been huge. Highly recommend him if you’re considering Invisalign you’ll be in great hands.
Frequently Asked Questions
A cannula is placed into a vein in the back of your hand or in your arm to administer the drugs. This is removed once the treatment has been completed, before you go home. Having a sedation will make you feel drowsy and helps reduce anxiety, but will not put you to sleep entirely. You will be aware of what is happening but will feel more relaxed.
Our team are trained to give sedation, and will watch you closely and treat and problems during the treatment. We will monitor you using equipment to check your breathing, oxygen and heart rate. We will then observe you until you have made a full recovery and are ready to go home.
There are risks associated with intravenous sedation, including drowsiness, amnesia, disorientation, nausea, bruising at the site of the cannula (which will fade in the days following treatment), reduced oxygen in the blood due to reduced breathing during sedation (we will monitor this through the procedure and may ask you to take some deep breaths to correct it). Rare risks include vomiting and allergies to the medications.
You must ensure you let us know your up to date medical history information, including any medications and allergies you have. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you must let us know.
Most healthy adults are suitable for treatment. Our clinicians will assess whether sedation is suitable for you and will complete a pre-assessment screening with you.
