Dental Implants

What is THE TREATMENT?

A dental implant is a fixed solution for one or more missing teeth.

They use a small titanium screw that replaces the root portion of a missing natural tooth. Dental implants can be placed in either the upper or lower jaws. Due to the biocompatible properties of titanium, the implants fuse with the bone and become a good anchor for the replacement tooth. Dental implants can be used in solutions for replacing single or multiple missing teeth.

WOULD I BENEFIT FROM AN IMPLANT?

Many people who consider implants have removable, conventional dentures for lower and upper jaws, or have removable bridges. These people experience a significant improvement in their ability to chew food comfortably after treatment.

When both the tooth and root are damaged, the best permanent replacement is a dental implant with a ceramic crown. This solution both looks and functions just like a natural tooth.

REASONS TO CONSIDER DENTAL IMPLANTS

COMFORT

There are no loose parts. An implant is stable and comfortable.

LONG LASTING

Normally, it will serve its owner for life.

Appearance

Dental Implants look and feel like natural teeth.

Find out more about the different types of dental implants we offer below.

Single Tooth Implants

If you only have a single tooth missing we simply place one Implant and fit a custom made abutment and crown to provide a natural looking tooth replacement. We will give you an exact fixed price at the initial consultation.

Multiple Tooth Implants

If you have several teeth missing then we place more than one implant and restore with either several individual crowns or a bridge. We will give you a fixed quote at our initial consultation. Four missing teeth may only need two implants to retain them, making the cost significantly cheaper than using four individual implant retained crowns.

IMplant Retained Dentures

Wobbly or poorly fitting dentures can be stabilised by placing one to four implants in the jaw bone and using special locators to lock into the fitting surface of the denture holding them firmly in position. We can give you a fixed quote for this treatment on initial consultation. We do need radiographs to check your bone before we can offer an accurate tailored treatment plan on which we base your quote.

All-On-Four

Four titanium implants are placed in the jaw in such a way that the bone will envelop and secure them into place. The implants that are placed in the back part of the jaw are angulated to achieve maximum advantage to the existing bone structure. Once the four implants are secure,  the replacement teeth can be fastened and adjusted for maximum comfort and function giving you a brand new radiant smile. Because only four implants are used in the procedure, the entire process is much less invasive and involves less surgical time than other treatments.

The Treatment Process

This is a typical treatment process for single implant placements. This process can vary, depending on the treatment you are having and some steps may not be required, or may take more or less time than in this example. Your dentist will give you a treatment plan tailored to you.

01. Consultation

We will discuss your areas of concern and desired treatment outcomes, as well as taking a digital scan of your teeth and x-rays. You can ask any questions you have, and your clinician will begin to form a plan for your treatment.

02. Scan

We take a 3D CBCT scan of your mouth, combined with an intraoral scan to allow accurate planning of your implant placement. These are then used with the X-Guide technology to place your implant.

03. Treatment Planning

You will meet with your dentist to discuss your implant treatment, and a full treatment plan and quote will be developed, tailored to you.

04. Placement

We will discuss your areas of concern and desired treatment outcomes, as well as taking a digital scan of your teeth and x-rays. Our iTero scanner scan create a digital model to show how your teeth could look with Invisalign treatment. You can ask any questions you have, and your clinician will begin to form a plan for your treatment.

05. Crown

Once you approve your Clincheck, your aligners will be manufactured and fitted to start moving  your teeth.
