Surgical / Wisdom Tooth Extractions
What Is THE TREATMENT?
Your dentist may recommend a tooth is extracted if it is badly decayed or damaged. Your dentist might tell you that this will need to be a surgical extraction if:
– The tooth is below or only partially through the gum
– The tooth is broken or cracked below the gum line
– The tooth has curved or long, complicated roots
We can also offer soft tissue biopsies, cyst removal and Frenectomy under local anaesthetic.

Client Reviews
Posted on Google Clive Jones Staff are friendly and welcoming. The dental treatment is first class, whether you are having a check up or an implant. My wife and I have been delighted with the care and attention we have received. Updated Jan/2026 - The quality of care and treatment continues to be first class. Today’s treatment is very hi tech and everything from scans to implants are carried out on site. Today’s treatment is incredibly different and so much better than it was even a few years ago and I have 23 years experience of implant treatment! Treatment plans are carefully discussed without any pressure to commit, the follow up and after care is second to none. I feel very lucky to be in the hands of Faisal and his team. Thank you all. Clive JonesPosted on Google Barry Watson It is always a pleasant atmosphere and they make you feel comfortable and they are always professional.Posted on Google Emily R I’ve recently finished my Spark aligner treatment with Dr Patrick Ferguson and I’m really happy with the results. Dr Ferguson explained everything clearly from the start and I felt able to trust his judgement throughout the process. The whole treatment was simple, professional and well organised. Treatment by Dr Patrick Ferguson. Janet SeniorPosted on Google Peter Butters Had three implants done over a period of twelve months. Dr Faisal was extremely helpful explaining the process and procedures. This involved a number of appointments which Bridie organised around my busy schedule. The Dental Nurse Team and Hygienist during this twelve month period were also helpful, compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend them and be assured they will take care of youPosted on Google olly watson I went to Dr Patrick regarding getting composite bonding but I wanted a natural look. Patrick listened to everything I said and wanted, and gave ideas of what he thought would work and look best. I also had my teeth whitened. He came up with mock ups and even a 3D mould to show what we could do with my teeth. I am so pleased with the outcome and professional. My teeth look so natural, and Dr Patrick was a perfectionist taking his time to ensure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend.Posted on Google Sufiyan Iqbal Just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Faisal and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Frequently Asked Questions
There are several ways to replace missing teeth, including dental implants, bridges and dentures. Your dentist can discuss your options with you at your appointment, or get in touch to book a free consultation with one of our clinicians.
You must keep the site clean. Avoid mouthwash, hot food and drink and strenuous activity for the first 24 hours. Avoid brushing the area directly so as not to dislodge the blood clot in the socket. Take any medication as prescribed, and avoid smoking. Take painkillers as required.
You will need to wear a retainer at night to help prevent any chips from happening due to clenching your teeth whilst asleep.
We recommend regular appointments with our hygiene therapist to ensure your teeth and gums are kept healthy. This can also help to prevent stains from forming on the composite.
To prevent your composite from chipping, you will need to avoid putting high levels of force on the teeth, for example, do not bite your nails, bite into very tough or crunchy foods using the bonded teeth, open packaging with your teeth or bite cellotape.
